This study compared two ultrasound-guided nerve blocks—erector spinae plane (ESP) block and rhomboid intercostal block (RIB)—for pain relief after breast surgery. 84 patients undergoing unilateral breast surgery received one of the blocks, and researchers measured morphine use and pain scores. The goal was to find which block offers better pain control.
