New nerve block tested to ease pain after mastectomy

NCT ID NCT06187909

Summary

This study compared two different nerve block techniques to see which one better controls pain after breast cancer surgery. Researchers tested these methods on 88 women undergoing mastectomy, measuring their pain levels and need for strong painkillers over 24 hours. The goal was to find the most effective way to reduce post-surgery pain and limit opioid medication use.
