First seen Dec 29, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at whether reconnecting nerves during breast reconstruction after mastectomy can improve feeling in the breast. About 28 women will be randomly assigned to receive either the nerve reconnection technique or standard reconstruction. Researchers will measure sensation, quality of life, and tissue samples over six months to see if the technique helps restore normal touch.
