New surgical mesh tested to improve breast reconstruction safety and recovery

Summary
This study is testing a special surgical mesh material used during breast reconstruction surgery after mastectomy. It will follow 467 women to see how safe the material is and if it leads to fewer complications or re-operations. The main goals are to track serious problems and see if the surgery improves patients' physical comfort and quality of life.
