Gentler breast reconstruction aims to ease shoulder pain
NCT ID NCT05316389
Summary
This study is comparing two methods of breast reconstruction after mastectomy for breast cancer. It focuses on a newer technique that uses less back muscle, hoping to reduce shoulder pain and stiffness while still achieving a good cosmetic result. Researchers are tracking 200 patients to see how this method affects their physical comfort, appearance satisfaction, and overall quality of life compared to reconstruction with an implant.
