Summary
This study looked at 27 women with breast cancer who had a mastectomy and immediate breast reconstruction using an implant. The implant was placed either above or below the chest muscle, based on the patient's body and preference. Researchers measured pain, arm function, quality of life, and complications to better understand how each technique affects recovery.
