MRI vs. scalpel: new study tests 3D breast tumor measurement
NCT ID NCT07268300
First seen Dec 17, 2025 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study will enroll 59 women with suspicious or confirmed breast masses to see if MRI-based 3D volume measurements match the actual tumor size found during surgery. Accurate tumor sizing helps doctors plan better surgeries and chemotherapy. Participants will have a contrast-enhanced MRI before their operation, and the MRI results will be compared to the pathology report.
