Summary
This study tested whether a mobile app called Amamantapp could increase knowledge and positive attitudes about breast milk donation among new mothers in Peru. 112 breastfeeding mothers were randomly assigned to use the app for 60 days or to a control group. Researchers measured changes in knowledge, attitudes, and donation practices using a questionnaire. The goal is to address a shortage of donor milk that contributes to deaths of preterm babies.
