Gene test could help solve breast biopsy mystery

NCT ID NCT07428733

Summary

This study tested whether looking at specific gene patterns in breast tissue samples could help doctors more accurately tell if a suspicious lesion is benign or cancerous. It involved 401 women who had a needle biopsy for a lesion that was hard to classify. The goal was to see if this molecular information could improve diagnosis and help avoid unnecessary surgeries.
