Bone drug trial aims to thwart breast cancer before it starts
NCT ID NCT04067726
Summary
This study is testing whether a medication called denosumab, which is normally used for bone health, can reduce dense breast tissue in premenopausal women. Dense breast tissue is a known risk factor for developing breast cancer. Researchers hope that by lowering breast density, this drug might help prevent breast cancer in women at higher risk who don't have a strong family history of the disease.
