Scientists probe hidden link between dense breasts and cancer

NCT ID NCT00475761

Summary

This study aimed to understand why women with dense breast tissue on mammograms have a higher risk of breast cancer. Researchers enrolled 466 women aged 40-65 who were scheduled for a breast biopsy. They collected tissue samples, health data, and tracked participants' health for up to 10 years to learn what makes dense breast tissue more likely to become cancerous.
