New pill-and-shot combo aims to stop breast cancer growth before surgery

Summary
This study tests a daily pill called (Z)-endoxifen, sometimes combined with a monthly shot (goserelin) that temporarily stops the ovaries from making estrogen. The goal is to see if this treatment can slow or stop the growth of estrogen-receptor-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer in premenopausal women. About 87 participants will take the drugs for up to 24 weeks before surgery, and researchers will measure tumor response using tissue samples.
