New hope for younger women: drug combo aims to shrink tumors before surgery

NCT ID NCT05607004

Summary

This study is testing a new drug combination for premenopausal women with a common type of breast cancer (ER+/HER2-) before they have surgery. The goal is to see if taking the drug (Z)-endoxifen with a monthly injection (goserelin) can slow or stop tumor growth, potentially shrinking tumors to make surgery easier. Researchers will check tumor samples after 4 weeks of treatment and participants can continue for up to 6 months before surgery.
