New combo therapy tested to control advanced breast cancer

NCT ID NCT02668666

Summary

This study tested a combination of two oral drugs, palbociclib and tamoxifen, as the first treatment for women with advanced hormone-positive breast cancer that had spread. The goal was to see how long the treatment could control the cancer's growth and how well patients tolerated it. The trial was for patients who had not received any prior drug treatment for their advanced disease.
