New drug combo tested to keep advanced breast cancer in check

Summary
This study is testing if adding a drug called alpelisib to the standard hormone therapy fulvestrant can help control advanced breast cancer that has started to grow again on fulvestrant alone. It is for adults whose cancer is hormone-receptor positive, HER2 negative, and has a specific genetic change (PIK3CA mutation). The main goal is to see if this combination can delay the cancer from progressing further.
