Targeted drug duo challenges standard chemo in advanced breast cancer fight

NCT ID NCT07371910

Summary

This study compares a new approach using two targeted oral medications against standard chemotherapy for advanced breast cancer that has specific genetic features. After initial chemotherapy, half the participants switch to the targeted drug combination as long-term maintenance therapy, while the other half continue with standard treatments. Researchers want to see if this new strategy helps control the cancer longer and improves survival for patients who have already tried some treatments.
