NCT ID NCT01670500
First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated Jun 06, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested whether the chemotherapy drug cisplatin works better than the standard combination of doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide (AC) for women with newly diagnosed breast cancer who have a BRCA gene mutation. About 118 women took part, receiving either cisplatin or AC before surgery to see which drug shrinks tumors more effectively. The goal was to find a more targeted treatment option for this specific group.
