New drug combo could help breast cancer patients skip chemotherapy
NCT ID NCT02712723
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a drug called ribociclib to standard hormone therapy (letrozole) helps shrink breast tumors more effectively before surgery. The goal is to help more women achieve excellent outcomes without needing chemotherapy. Researchers are comparing the combination against letrozole alone in 121 postmenopausal women with early-stage, hormone-sensitive breast cancer.
