New approach helps older breast cancer patients decide: radiation or not?

NCT ID NCT04272801

Summary

This study is testing whether trying hormone therapy for three months before breast cancer surgery helps older women and their doctors decide whether to include radiation in their treatment plan. Researchers want to see if experiencing the hormone therapy first makes patients more confident about choosing to skip radiation. The study involves women aged 65+ with early-stage, hormone-sensitive breast cancer who are scheduled for breast-conserving surgery.
