Does chemotherapy fog the brain? study probes Long-Term effects on Survivors' memory

NCT ID NCT02122107

Summary

This study aims to understand how breast cancer treatments like chemotherapy might affect long-term memory and thinking skills in older survivors. Researchers are comparing nearly 500 older women who are breast cancer survivors to women who have never had cancer, tracking their cognitive abilities over two years. They are also looking at whether genetics and smoking history make some people more vulnerable to these thinking problems.
