Magnet vs. radioactive dye: the battle to pinpoint hidden breast cancer
NCT ID NCT05942092
Summary
This study looks back at past surgeries to compare two methods for finding small, hidden breast tumors that can't be felt by hand. It involves 1,400 women who had breast-conserving surgery. Researchers want to see if using a tiny magnetic seed is as good as or better than using a radioactive dye injection at helping surgeons remove the entire tumor in one go.
