First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 18, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study aims to find the best method to guide surgeons during breast-conserving surgery for tumors that cannot be felt. It will compare three different guidance techniques—ultrasound, a magnetic seed, and the standard wire method—in over 1,300 patients. The goal is to see which method most accurately removes the tumor the first time, reducing the need for repeat surgeries and improving cosmetic results.
