Gentle stretches tested to ease breast cancer treatment side effects
NCT ID NCT06764394
Summary
This study tested whether gentle stretching exercises could help reduce shoulder stiffness, pain, and limited movement that sometimes occur after breast cancer radiation therapy. Researchers worked with 30 women who had completed breast cancer surgery and were starting radiation. They compared standard home exercises to a program that added special myofascial release stretches, measuring shoulder flexibility, pain levels, and quality of life.
