Does finding breast cancer early lead to a better life after treatment?

NCT ID NCT03877029

Summary

This study aimed to understand if how breast cancer is found—through routine screening or by noticing symptoms—affects a woman's long-term quality of life after treatment. Researchers surveyed nearly 4,500 women in Norway, comparing those with screen-detected cancer, symptom-detected cancer, and women without cancer. The goal was to see if early detection through screening leads to fewer long-term side effects and a better life after recovery.
