Community-designed program aims to boost cancer screening in apache women

NCT ID NCT05665660

Summary

This study tested two ways to help White Mountain Apache women get recommended mammograms to catch breast cancer early. Researchers compared a culturally tailored education program alone versus that program plus support from an Apache women's health coach. The goal was to see which approach worked better to get women screened within two months of a doctor's referral.
