Scientists search for clues to predict breast cancer before it starts
NCT ID NCT00291096
Summary
This study aims to find better ways to predict which women at high risk for breast cancer are most likely to develop the disease. Researchers will collect blood and breast tissue samples, along with mammogram results, from 3,000 high-risk women. The goal is to combine this information to create a more accurate risk assessment tool, not to test a treatment.
