New combo treatment tested for tough breast cancers

Summary
This early study aims to check if it is safe and tolerable to give a targeted cancer drug (a CDK4/6 inhibitor) at the same time as standard radiation therapy after surgery. It will involve 30 women with a specific high-risk type of breast cancer (HR+/HER2-). Researchers will closely monitor side effects and also ask patients about their quality of life during treatment.
