First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at two different radiation schedules for women with early-stage breast cancer after breast-conserving surgery. One group received a very short course of radiation over 1 week, while the other received a slightly longer course over 3 weeks. The goal was to compare skin side effects, cosmetic results, and how well the cancer was controlled. The study involved 60 women and followed them for up to 2 years.
