Summary
This study tests if a shorter course of radiation (3 sessions over 5 days) is as safe and effective as the standard 5-session course for women with early-stage breast cancer. The trial involves 284 post-menopausal women who have had surgery to remove their tumor. The main goal is to see if the shorter schedule causes similar levels of breast tissue hardening (fibrosis) and controls cancer recurrence.
