Breast cancer breakthrough: study tests dropping radiation for strong responders

Summary
This study is testing whether women with early-stage breast cancer who have no cancer left after chemotherapy can safely skip radiation therapy after breast-conserving surgery. It will follow 352 women aged 50+ who had a complete response to chemo to see if their cancer returns without radiation. The goal is to reduce treatment side effects for patients who may not need this extra step.
