One-Shot radiation during surgery could simplify breast cancer treatment
NCT ID NCT04680715
Summary
This study is testing a new approach where a single, precise dose of radiation is delivered directly to the tumor site during breast cancer surgery. It's for women aged 65 and older with early-stage breast cancer. The main goals are to see if this method is safe and to check if it effectively controls the cancer long-term, potentially replacing weeks of follow-up radiation treatments.
