New combo attack on breast cancer before surgery

Summary
This early-stage study is checking if it's safe to give radiation therapy along with two oral cancer drugs (abemaciclib and letrozole) before surgery for a common type of breast cancer. It will involve about 15 post-menopausal women with early-stage, hormone-positive breast cancer. The main goal is to see how well patients tolerate this combined approach and gather initial data on whether it helps shrink tumors before surgery.
