One-Week radiation vs. Three-Week: which is better for breast cancer?

NCT ID NCT07274800

Summary

This study compared two shorter radiation schedules for women with early-stage breast cancer who had breast-conserving surgery. One group received radiation in 5 sessions over 1 week, while the other received 15 sessions over 3 weeks. Researchers followed 60 participants for up to 2 years to see which schedule caused fewer skin side effects, had better cosmetic results, and kept the cancer from returning.
