Scientists grow 'Mini-Tumors' to predict chemo success

NCT ID NCT07260188

Summary

This study aims to collect tumor samples from 240 breast cancer patients before they start chemotherapy. Researchers will use these samples to grow miniature 3D tumor models called organoids in the lab. By studying these organoids and tiny particles they release, the study hopes to find biological clues that predict which patients will respond well to chemotherapy, potentially leading to more personalized treatment approaches in the future.
