Scientists grow Mini-Tumors to test treatments before giving them to patients

NCT ID NCT06468124

Summary

This study aims to see if small, lab-grown models of a patient's tumor, called organoids, can predict how well cancer treatments will work for them. Researchers will create these models from tissue samples of 20 breast cancer patients whose cancer has spread. They will test different treatments on the models and compare the results to how the patients themselves respond, hoping to find a better way to match patients with effective therapies.
