New registry tracks MRI scans in breast cancer survivors with dense breasts
NCT ID NCT06127797
First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study builds a database of 1,000 breast cancer survivors aged 50 or younger who have dense breast tissue. Participants will get routine MRI scans alongside their regular mammograms. Researchers hope to learn whether MRI helps find new cancers earlier in dense tissue, which is harder to see on mammograms. No new treatments or drugs are tested.
