New hope for controlling aggressive breast cancer spread
NCT ID NCT04158362
Summary
This study compares two standard treatment approaches for women with advanced breast cancer that has spread to internal organs like the liver or lungs. It tests whether a combination of hormone therapy plus the drug abemaciclib works as well as or better than chemotherapy at controlling cancer growth and improving quality of life. The trial involves 180 participants with ER-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer who haven't received prior treatment for their metastatic disease.
