New scanner aims to reduce repeat breast cancer surgeries
NCT ID NCT07341542
Summary
This study is testing a new device called the Histolog Scanner. It is used during breast cancer surgery to check if all the cancer has been removed from the edges of the tissue. The goal is to see if using this scanner during the operation can help surgeons get clear margins the first time, reducing the need for patients to have a second surgery.
