Glowing dye could help surgeons spot cancer spread during breast surgery

NCT ID NCT07441733

Summary

This pilot study is testing whether a fluorescent green dye can help surgeons find the first lymph nodes where breast cancer might spread. Researchers will compare this new method to the current standard radioactive tracer technique. The study involves training surgeons and then testing the dye on 40 patients to see if it works as well and is easier to use.
