New imaging test may forecast chemo response in breast cancer patients
NCT ID NCT02324387
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 37 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a special type of breast scan called molecular breast imaging (MBI) can predict how well chemotherapy is working in women with invasive breast cancer that has spread to nearby tissue. About 96 women will get MBI scans before, during, and after chemotherapy to see if changes in the scan match tumor shrinkage. The goal is to help doctors plan better treatment by spotting early who is responding.
