Scientists test direct tumor injection to wake up immune system against breast cancer
NCT ID NCT07319195
Summary
This is a small, early-stage study to learn if injecting one or two immune-stimulating drugs directly into a breast tumor a week before surgery is safe and feasible. The main goal is to see if this approach activates the patient's immune system against the cancer and does not delay their planned operation. Researchers will study the tumor tissue removed during surgery to look for immune changes.
