New drug cocktail tested for Tough-to-Treat breast cancer

NCT ID NCT05583110

Summary

This study tested a combination of three drugs—trastuzumab, tucatinib, and vinorelbine—for people with advanced HER2-positive breast cancer that cannot be removed by surgery or has spread. The goal was to see if this combination could shrink tumors and control the disease for people who had already tried at least two other HER2-targeted treatments. The trial was terminated early after enrolling only 13 of a planned 49 patients.
