New drug duo offers hope for frail elderly with breast cancer
NCT ID NCT02760030
Summary
This study tested a two-drug combination (fulvestrant and palbociclib) to control breast cancer in patients aged 70 and older who could not undergo surgery due to frailty or who refused it. The goal was to see if this non-surgical approach could keep the cancer from growing for at least one year. Researchers also closely monitored how well older patients tolerated the treatment and its effects on their daily function.
