New support role aims to help women with advanced breast cancer be heard
NCT ID NCT07428655
Summary
This small pilot study is testing whether a trained, non-medical support coordinator can help women with advanced breast cancer have better conversations about their values and goals with their doctors. The coordinator meets with patients to discuss their concerns and priorities, then helps share this information with the oncology team. The main goal is to see if patients find this support helpful and if the approach can work within the existing clinic system.
