Chemo's muscle impact under microscope in breast cancer study
NCT ID NCT06536556
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study aimed to see how one round of chemotherapy affects the muscles of women with breast cancer. Researchers compared three different drug combinations (paclitaxel alone, with trastuzumab, or with carboplatin) by taking small muscle samples and measuring strength and body changes. Only 5 people took part before the study was stopped early, so the results are very limited.
