Scientists test if wholemeal bread really tames sugar spikes
NCT ID NCT07158762
Summary
This study aimed to understand how body weight affects blood sugar levels after eating bread. Twenty healthy adults, half with normal weight and half with overweight or obesity, ate white and wholemeal bread on separate visits. Researchers measured their blood sugar over two hours to see if one bread type caused a smaller spike and if weight made a difference.
