Aortic aneurysm stent study pulled before it began

NCT ID NCT00488696

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study aimed to see if a special branched stent-graft could safely repair a bulging blood vessel (aneurysm) in the upper part of the aorta, near the heart. It was designed for people with large or risky aneurysms who were not good candidates for open surgery. However, the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled, so no results are available.
