Doctors map Brain's reaction to surgery stress

NCT ID NCT06228729

Summary

This study observed patients during abdominal surgery to understand how the brain's electrical activity (measured by EEG) relates to the body's release of stress hormones. Researchers measured hormone levels and brain waves at specific moments: before and after the breathing tube is placed, and after the first surgical cut. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help improve patient monitoring and care during operations.
