Can brain scans predict Post-Surgery confusion in seniors?

NCT ID NCT06394778

Summary

This study aims to understand if changes in brain wave patterns during and after surgery are linked to confusion (postoperative delirium) in older adults. Researchers will monitor the brain activity of 375 patients aged 60+ having joint or spine surgery. The goal is to find patterns that might help doctors identify patients at higher risk for confusion earlier.
