Scientists scan Brain's 'Garbage Disposal' for clues to MS

NCT ID NCT06274671

Summary

This study investigates whether problems with the brain's natural waste-clearing system (called the glymphatic system) contribute to multiple sclerosis. Researchers will use MRI scans to compare this system in 30 people with early MS symptoms (clinically isolated syndrome) against healthy volunteers. The goal is to understand if this cleaning system dysfunction plays a role in MS development and progression.
