NCT ID NCT06273904

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study uses a non-invasive technology called transcranial focused ultrasound (tFUS) to temporarily change activity in a deep brain area involved in anxiety. Researchers want to see if this affects how people with anxiety disorders react to emotional situations. The study involves 40 adults who recently started anxiety treatment and will attend 3 visits for interviews, brain scans, and tFUS sessions. This is not a treatment study, but it may help develop better therapies in the future.
